Lyme Connect was started in 2009 by someone that has been fighting Lyme Disease since 2003. After spending 6 years battling the disease, he realized that the Lyme Community needed a place to go where everybody understands the trials and tribulations that they personally go through on a daily basis.

Lyme Disease can leave people in a very lonely place. It is extremely difficult to treat and it affects everyone in a different way. Therefore, he felt that if an online community could be created where you can find similar people that are going through similar issues, those long hours of stress and anguish can hopefully be reduced significantly. By connecting people that have actually experienced another person’s pain, they can find out how others have dealt with those issues as well as any solutions they may have found to the problem.

It is time that sufferers, the patients as well as their family and friends who go through this fight with them as a support system, have a place to go where they feel comfortable to discuss their problems.
